Gastric sleeve surgery offers a permanent solution for patients with a high Body Mass Index (BMI). During gastric sleeve surgery, the doctor removes 70 to 80% of the stomach.
The removed part of the stomach contains a part called Fundus and located in this area is a hormone called Ghrelin also known as the hunger hormone.

How is the process after the surgery ?
The patient will be hospitalized for the time span of 1 to 3 days according to the doctor’s advice. After a week and the last follow up examinations with the doctor the patient will be discharged and can return to their country.
- After the surgery every patient is given a specialized diet plan by the dietician and follow up meetings and scheduled.
- Depending on the patient’s vocation, the patient can return to their job minimum after two weeks.
- After one month, the patient can proceed to go to the gym and start exercising in order to stay healthy.
- There will be follow up meetings with patients on the 3rd, 6th and on the anniversary of the surgery date
Here is how your journey will be with us ;
On your arrival our welcoming team will pick you up from the airport and drive you to the hospital.
At the hospital we will take you to your room. After you unpack you will have your minor tests such as PCR and Blood Tests. After these tests have been performed you can rest for the day.
On your second day during the morning our field staff will accompany you through your pre-operative tests. You will visit the Cardiologist, Anesthesiologist. Plus, the medical staff will perform an Ultrasound and before your surgery you will have an Endoscopy.
After all of the tests have been done you will have a final examination with our doctor to check if there is anything that will prevent you from having the surgery and you will be taken to the operation theater.
On the third day you will
have your check up with our surgeon and you will remain in the hospital for the
fourth day as well.
On the fifth day if our surgeon deems you fit to discharge you will be discharged and driven to your hotel by our transfer team. On this day, prior to your drive to the hotel you will have a consultation with our dietitian in order to be updated on your new lifestyle.
On the sixth day you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to your designated airport by our transfer team.
